Accuracy first

Guidance is written to be specific and checkable. Where a figure depends on product, region or conditions, we say so instead of presenting a single number as universal.

No invented evidence

• No fabricated statistics, ratings, reviews or testimonials
• No claims of hands-on testing unless testing actually happened
• No invented certifications or credentials

Clear labeling

Estimates are labeled as planning ranges, not quotes, and any section that is not yet complete is labeled rather than presented as finished.

Manufacturer instructions win

Where our general guidance conflicts with a specific product's installation instructions or your local building code, follow the manufacturer and the code.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Corrections are made to the page itself, and material changes to calculator logic are reflected in our methodology.
